Cheapest GLP-1 by dose: the July 2026 tracker
"Cheapest GLP-1 in the UK" has no single answer. The lowest price depends on which drug you are on and, more than anything, which rung of the dose ladder you have reached. A pharmacy that wins the starter month can sit mid-table by the time you reach a maintenance dose — so the cheapest GLP-1 for you moves as your dose moves.
This tracker fixes that. Below is the lowest ongoing 4-week price on our board at every dose, straight from the dataset behind the main index, checked on 4 July 2026 across 24 regulated online pharmacies.
Mounjaro: cheapest ongoing price by dose
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) runs a six-rung ladder — 2.5 mg starter, then 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15 mg. The 2.5 mg dose is a four-week starter, not a treatment dose; most people settle at 5, 10 or 15 mg. Here is the board low at each rung, and the spread to the dearest pharmacy stocking it.
| Dose | Cheapest ongoing (4 wks) | Board low held by | Board spread |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2.5 mg starter | £145.99 | Click2Pharmacy | £83.01 |
| 5 mg | £173.99 | Click2Pharmacy | £85.01 |
| 7.5 mg | £222.99 | Click2Pharmacy | £76.01 |
| 10 mg | £249.99 | Click2Pharmacy | £74.01 |
| 12.5 mg | £269.99 | Click2Pharmacy | £74.01 |
| 15 mg top dose | £288.99 | Click2Pharmacy | £70.01 |
Ongoing (repeat) prices, 4 weeks' supply, checked 4 July 2026 across 24 pharmacies. Board spread = dearest minus cheapest at that dose. First-month promotional prices can be lower — see below.
Two things stand out. First, the spread is wide at every rung — £70 to £85 between cheapest and dearest for the identical pen. That is a service-and-margin gap, not a drug difference: the tirzepatide is the same molecule wherever you buy it. Second, the cheapest provider does not change as you climb. If you start on the board low and keep climbing, it stays with the same pharmacy — worth knowing before you assume you must switch supplier to keep the best price.
Wegovy: cheapest ongoing price by dose
Wegovy (semaglutide) has its own ladder — 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.7 and 2.4 mg, plus a newer 7.2 mg high dose that far fewer pharmacies stock. On sticker price, Wegovy comes in below Mounjaro at every comparable rung this month. But unlike Mounjaro, the cheapest pharmacy changes as the dose rises.
| Dose | Cheapest ongoing (4 wks) | Board low held by |
|---|---|---|
| 0.25 mg starter | £79.97 | Boots Online Doctor |
| 0.5 mg | £108.97 | ASDA Online Doctor |
| 1 mg | £109.00 | Click2Pharmacy |
| 1.7 mg | £149.99 | Cloud Pharmacy |
| 2.4 mg maintenance | £174.99 | Cloud Pharmacy |
| 7.2 mg high dose · limited stock | £249.99 | LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor |
Ongoing prices, 4 weeks' supply, checked 4 July 2026. The 7.2 mg high dose is stocked by only 8 of the 24 pharmacies on our board.
Four different pharmacies hold the low across six Wegovy rungs. Chasing the absolute cheapest at every dose would mean transferring your prescription repeatedly — which most people will not do for a few pounds a month, and which resets any first-order discount each time. That is the practical catch: the paper low and the sensible choice are not always the same number.
£125.00 first month with code NEWME · £160.00 ongoing on Mounjaro 2.5 mg
The Weight Clinic is our recommended provider. It is not the rock-bottom board low at any single dose — on the July index it sits sixth of 24 on ongoing Mounjaro 2.5 mg and third from the 5 mg rung upward — but its first month is one of the three cheapest on the whole board, and per the provider's published terms the small premium buys a monthly video review with a clinician rather than a web form, needles in the box, next-day delivery, and a refund if the prescriber declines you. That price-to-service balance is why it is our pick.

Why the cheapest dose is not always the cheapest year
A per-dose low is a snapshot. Two things bend it out of shape over a full course of treatment.
First-month promos distort the starter rung
Almost every pharmacy discounts the first order. On Mounjaro 2.5 mg, promotional first months this month reach as low as £122.00 (Chemist4U, code NEW26) and £124.99 (Pharmacy2U) — below the £145.99 ongoing board low. That is real money, but one-off — you pay the promo once and the ongoing rate every month after. For a medicine you may take for a year, the ongoing column above matters far more than the starter promo.
The dose ladder means today's low is not tomorrow's
You do not stay on the starter dose. You climb — 2.5 to 5 to 10 mg on Mounjaro over months — and the price climbs with you. The cheapest 2.5 mg pharmacy is not automatically the cheapest 10 mg pharmacy. That is exactly why this is a by-dose tracker and not a single "cheapest provider" headline: the honest answer changes as your prescription does. For the trend over the year, see our UK GLP-1 price trends for 2026.
Cheapest sticker is not cheapest per result
Wegovy wins on price at every rung, but the two drugs are not interchangeable. Trial evidence tends to favour tirzepatide for average weight loss, so the lower Wegovy price does not automatically mean better value per kilogram lost. We work that through in Mounjaro vs Wegovy: cost per percent lost. And the sticker rarely tells the whole story — delivery, needles and consultation fees can quietly move the real number, which we cover in the hidden costs of weight-loss injections.
How to use this tracker
Find your drug and current dose in the tables above — that row is your target price. If your pharmacy charges well above the board low for that exact dose, you are paying a premium; decide whether the service justifies the gap. Then confirm the live figure on the provider's own site before ordering, because these numbers move between our monthly checks. For the full board, start at the GLP Prices index.
What is the cheapest GLP-1 dose overall right now?
The lowest single ongoing figure on our 4 July 2026 board is Wegovy 0.25 mg at £79.97 for four weeks (Boots Online Doctor). But 0.25 mg is only a four-week starter dose — you climb off it quickly. Judge "cheapest" at the maintenance dose you will actually settle on, not the starter rung.
Does the cheapest pharmacy change as my dose goes up?
On Wegovy, yes — four different pharmacies hold the low across the six rungs this month. On Mounjaro this month it does not: Click2Pharmacy holds the lowest ongoing price at every dose from 2.5 mg to 15 mg. That is why we track the low per dose rather than crowning one "cheapest provider".
Is Mounjaro or Wegovy cheaper by dose?
Wegovy is cheaper on sticker price at every comparable rung on the July board. That is a price comparison only, not a clinical one — the drugs are dosed differently and trial evidence tends to favour tirzepatide for average weight loss, so the lower Wegovy price does not automatically mean better value per kilogram lost.
Should I switch pharmacy every time I change dose to chase the low?
Usually not. Transferring a prescription for a few pounds a month resets any first-order discount and adds admin each time. The paper low and the sensible choice often differ. Use the tracker to spot when your pharmacy is charging well above the board low for your dose, then decide whether the service justifies the gap.
Are these prices guaranteed?
No. Prices move between our monthly checks, and these are the figures we recorded on 4 July 2026. Always confirm the live price on the provider's own site before ordering. GLP Prices does not sell or supply medicines — this is price information, not medical advice.
The Weight Clinic — a monthly clinician review, not just a low sticker
If the by-dose low is close between pharmacies, service is the tie-breaker. The Weight Clinic pairs a competitive price with a monthly video review with a clinician, needles included, next-day delivery, and a refund if the prescriber declines you. New patients get £35 off the first order with code NEWME.
