Cheapest weight-loss jab today

Ranked by the ongoing price of the starter dose, here's where the market sits right now.

Sticker price alone is misleading, though. Starter doses last four weeks. What matters is your ongoing maintenance dose, which is where you'll spend most of your money.

Mounjaro price tracker: every dose

Mounjaro is titrated upward: 2.5 mg for four weeks, then 5 mg, rising in 2.5 mg steps to a maximum of 15 mg. Your maintenance dose (commonly 10 or 15 mg) is what to budget for. Here are the lowest ongoing figures at each rung.

Wegovy price tracker: every dose

Wegovy titrates over five steps to a 2.4 mg maintenance dose (a 7.2 mg dose is now tracked too). On sticker price it undercuts Mounjaro at comparable rungs — but that's a price comparison, not a clinical one. Trial data (SURMOUNT-5) favours tirzepatide for average weight loss, so the lower Wegovy number doesn't automatically mean better value per kilogram lost. The Wegovy 0.25 mg starter spans £79.99 (Next Script) to £164 (Juniper) — an £84 spread. As with Mounjaro, the cheapest provider rotates as the dose climbs, so track the maintenance rung. Full detail lives in our Wegovy price index.

How to read the tracker

Three rules keep you from overpaying:

1. Judge at your maintenance dose

The £131 headline is a four-week starter. Most people spend months on 10 or 15 mg. A provider that's cheapest at 2.5 mg may not be cheapest at 15 mg.

2. Separate promos from ongoing price

First-month discounts (like The Weight Clinic's £125 first month with code NEWME, or £35 off) are one-offs. They apply to the starter dose only. Add up twelve months, not month one.

3. Count the hidden costs

The medicine, briefly

Mounjaro is MHRA-licensed for weight management and recommended by NICE (TA1026). Private eligibility is typically a BMI of 30+, or 27+ with a weight-related condition. In SURMOUNT-1, mean weight loss reached about 22.5% at 15 mg over 72 weeks. Common side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, constipation and tiredness; rarer serious risks include pancreatitis and gallstones. Report any suspected side effect to the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.
